“Bruckner University” for music drama and dance; presenting our DANCR-tool to students and faculty

Topics of our lecture-presentation, 13.3.2025:

In 2022-24, the transdisciplinary group of artists and scientists, H.A.U.S., developed the DANCR tool: an artistic toolkit consisting of “improvAI” and “transferAI,” a sensor system for autonomous data production for AI training and a system for generating arbitrary AI models from this data. With the DANCR tool, artists can generate training data with their own movements. From this data, they can create an individual AI model of their movements. This model can run in one of the two AIs. ImprovAI, for example, enables artists to develop material for a piece through improvisation or to improvise in real time with a humanoid robot.

We were delighted to see the auditorium full! The discussion following our presentation was particularly interesting, as artists from many areas of the performing arts were very keen to exchange ideas with us.
